Project objective:
To carry out R&D activities aimed at developing an innovative system based on computer vision optics, enabling precise and automatic measurement of any 3D objects in warehouse environments using cameras and mobile devices in the logistics and e-commerce sector.
Tasks and expected results:
By placing a phone or camera near an object, the user (warehouse operator) obtains a real-time description of the object in the form of a cuboid along with accurate dimensions in millimeters. The system works with any image source—both specialized cameras and smartphone cameras—and ensures a measurement error below 3%.
